Miki's latest Guard adventure

So, I was getting ready to go back up the the "slaughterhouse" - were the guard practices - when I get a call from the other Varsity Guard Mom. "So, Mikayla," "Yes, Susan, what did she do now," "Well, her sabre hit the floor and bounced back up and hit her mouth ( the tip not the hilt)." Insert me shaking my head. " She seemed fine then ran off the floor and into the bathroom. She was bleeding and we got it stopped. Split lower lip, split upper lip, oh and a chunck of tooth spit out." Why am I never surprised anymore more when Mommy Susan calls. I took ice up to her and called the dentist - so grateful for dentists that answer after hours calls! Yes, Miki went back into practice after 10 min of icing. If you look at the pic you can see that she took off the whole point tip of her molar!! Remember how she just got her braces off a month ago. $500 out of our pocket and a 2 hour appt. later, she has a pretty tooth with an inlay and in need of a new retainer - another cha ching. Stay tuned for further adventures.

Note to self... Guard is dangerous and expensive - steer Caitlin towards female rugby. At least they are really good at their routines! All the injuries are worth it.

LOL Jer, yes, it is dangerous and they have added more crazy things this week. We will survive this season, LOL.
